Quit Smoking ? Easy.
No it is not easy, I have never been a smoker but have treated many smokers over my years in health care
and I guess about 90% of them wanted to quit, many had tried many times before and failed.
Over the past few years we have had many clients attend our resort in Morocco to undertake our famous Fast Detox programme, not with fertility problems or any particular ailment nor even seeking to get a little fitter, many of our "Detox" guests attend as they are heavily addicted to Narcotics, particularly Heroin and other Opiates, Methamphetamine, PCP and Cocaine to name a few, obviously these people would be the first to admit they had an addictive personality and in most cases more than enough money to fuel their habit, we have kept records and out of our drug addicted group a remarkable 85% smoked ( way above the mean) and of these 60% wanted to quit smoking as well as their drug(s) of choice on the Detox, without blowing our trumpet to loud we have thus far had an 81% success rate for quitting smoking whilst on the detox, and in truth a lot of the failures never wanted to be here but were often referred by their managers and really had no intention of trying to quit anything!, so we take no blame for them. This success rate is stunning in anyones books.
The reasoning behind this success is we always properly prepare everyone psycologically who are going to undertake the Detox for what ever reason, so that when the day comes their mind and body are prepared for what is to come, when quitting smoking there always are side effects as Nicotine is a very powerful drug and both physically and psychologically addictive.
Physical Symptoms will almost certainly include one or more of the following, they are part of the CURE and during the quitting process people should consider the following physical symptoms of withdrawal as they were recuperating from a disease and treat them accordingly as they would any physical symptoms:
Tingling in the hands and feet
Sweating
Intestinal disorders (cramps, nausea)
Headache
Cold symptoms as the lungs begin to clear (sore throats, coughing, and other signs of colds and respiratory problem)
The first few weeks after quitting smoking are usually the most difficult and it's safe to say that it normally takes at least 8-12 weeks before a person starts to feel comfortable with their new lifestyle change of being an ex-smoker. Withdrawal from nicotine, an addictive drug found in tobacco, is characterized by symptoms that include headache, anxiety, nausea and a craving for more tobacco. Nicotine creates a chemical dependency, so that the body develops a need for a certain level of nicotine at all times. Unless that level is maintained, the body will begin to go through withdrawal. For tobacco users trying to quit, symptoms of withdrawal from nicotine are unpleasant and stressful, but only temporary. Most withdrawal symptoms peak 48 hours but 24 to 36 on the Ultimate Detox, after you quit and are completely gone in six months.
By undertaking the Ultimate Detox the body has a chance to adapt better, you are no longer subjected to the same temptations as you would be normally, you will not be eating the kinds of food that are so often associated with smoking, you will not be drinking coffee or tea, no cakes no fatty foods, all of these "go Well" with a cigarette.
Mental and Emotional Symptoms.
Tension and craving build up during periods of withdrawal, sometimes to a nearly intolerable point. One European study found that the incidence of workplace accidents increases on No Smoking Day, a day in which up to 2 million smokers either reduce the amount they smoke or abstain altogether. As we work in Morocco which is a Muslim country where the practice of Ramadan (abstaining from taking anything by mouth from sunrise to sunset including cigarettes in a Country where Smoking is a part of the Culture) I would NEVER go driving during the daylight hour in Ramadan, such does the standard of driving decline due to not smoking.
Nearly every moderate to heavy smoker experiences more than one of the following strong emotional and mental responses to withdrawal.
Feelings of being an infant: temper tantrums, intense needs, feelings of dependency, a state of near paralysis.
Insomnia
Mental confusion
Vagueness
Of course within 48 hours the actual Nicotine in the body has dispersed, this process would be quickened by the cleansing effect of the Detox.
We have helped many people quit in exactly the same way, we always keep in touch with our former clients, and the great news is that apart from a couple of them everyone is still smoke free.
So quit smoking and give your body a complete tune up while you are at it with our
if you are serious about quitting whilst undertaking the Ultimate Detox we strongly recommend extending the initial fast period to 36 Hours, it is of critical importance that you fully prepare yourself so make sure you read
