Sweet Potato Fries with Tahini and Herbs.

Fries are one of those things that are appealing to so many. A finger food, for one, is just more fun, but the crispiness and saltiness are also what makes them so good. I avoid eating fried foods in general so the at-home baked version is really the best way for me to enjoy them.

White potatoes aren’t necessarily a favored food in Ayurveda (along with the other nightshades) for their potential to cause joint discomfort, and dosha imbalance along with their inherently tamastic nature. I still eat them sometimes, but sweet potatoes are, perhaps, a healthier choice.

So, this is one of my favorite ways to eat “fries”. Sweet potatoes-baked, with creamy tahini dressing and lots of fresh herbs. Just look at them; they’re good. This is an easy side dish or a meal in itself if you add a side of veggies or greens. Enjoy!
